To become members of the Aquablacks
To qualify for and compete at senior international events

SQUAD Criteria

17 years and over
Minimum 700 FINA points (LCM or SC)
Capable of maintaining the athlete standards given to you by the lead coach
Capable of travelling internationally when and if required
Coaches’ discretion will be observed when needed

Fees

OBJECTIVE

To introduce excelling athletes to the Elite environment

PATHWAY Criteria

15 years and over. Officially part of the Performance Squad.
Minimum 600 FINA Points (LC or SC)
Number of Elite sessions attended allocated by lead coach (based on athlete age, event, and fit)
Capable of maintaining the athlete standards given by the lead coach.
Coaches’ discretion will be observed when needed.

Performance Squad

“The Best way to predict your future is to create it yourself”

A specialist squad of swimmers working together to achieve personal, and team goals. Becoming leading NZ age group champion swimmers, with end goal of reaching the standards and becoming a member of the Coast Excellence Squad

OBJECTIVE

To qualify for and compete at national and junior international events.

Criteria

13 years and over
Minimum 450 FINA Points (LC or SC)
Attend NAGs when qualified
Capable of maintaining the athlete standards given to you by the lead coach
Coaches’ discretion will be observed when needed

Fees

$298.40 Per Month + Admin Fee

Junior Squad

“From small beginnings come, come great things.”

A specialist squad of swimmers working together to achieve personal, and team goals. Becoming leading NZ Junior champion swimmers, with end goal of reaching the standards and becoming a member of the Coast Development Squad.

Criteria

12 and under
ASA Level 1 or 2 Qualified swimmer

Squad Standards

Applying yourself in all training's by giving 100%
Attend 3 of the 5 swim sessions per week
Maximum number is dependent on age / personal development/ coaches discretion
1 land session per week with Northern Arena instructor. (we organise)
Maintaining and adhering to prescribed training intervals in pool
Junior transition session (By invite, extra (6th) am session per week @ $20 per month)
Coaches’ discretion will be observed when needed

Extras

To achieve personal success in competitive swimming
Participate in National and Developmental Camps both home and abroad

Fees

$252 Per Month + Admin Fee

Development Squad

Learning the club and squad values, as well as how to train and be a member of a team working towards a common goal of qualifying for DivII and Development Squad.
